HGEA – Refer A Friend
HGEA members, if you are a current DTRIC customer and are pleased with DTRIC, refer a friend for a free auto insurance quote. When they complete a free auto insurance quote, we will thank you with a FREE $20 Foodland gift card, and your friend with a FREE $10 Foodland gift card for just getting a quote.* The more you refer, the more you’ll be rewarded!
Here’s how to refer:
• Complete the referral form online.
• When you have completed the form, you’ll receive a confirmation with a referral ID.
• We’ll e-mail your friend to encourage them to contact DTRIC for a quote. The e-mail will mention that you made the referral.
• When your friend has obtained an auto insurance quote from DTRIC, we will send you and your friend your gift cards.
You can also call DTRIC on the dedicated HGEA phone line, and a customer service representative will assist you with the referral.

Rules of HGEA Refer a Friend Program*
- Referrer can receive up to five (5) referral gift cards in a 12-month period. Gift cards will be sent via postal mail. DTRIC customers may not refer the same person more than once.
- Referrals are subject to eligibility verification. HGEA members who make valid referrals must be a current DTRIC customer at the time the gift card is awarded. Referees cannot be current DTRIC customers, but may be non-HGEA members.
- Gift cards will be sent via postal mail. DTRIC will not be responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
- Current HGEA refer a friend promotion is valid until June 20, 2024. DTRIC reserves the right to change/terminate the Refer a Friend program and incentives at any time and without prior notice.
- DTRIC policyholders who are customers of independent insurance agents are excluded from this promotion.
