2023 Workplace Safety Awards

DTRIC is pleased to announce the launch of the first Workplace Safety Awards program. We would like to invite you, our agency partners, to nominate your client companies to be recognized for their outstanding commitment to workplace safety.

This award will be presented to three winning companies, one from each of the three categories by Workers’ Compensation premium size:

• Large-Size Company Category:  >$100K
• Medium-Size Company Category:  $50K – $99K
• Small-Size Company Category: $5K – $49K

Each of the winning companies will receive a $1,000 cash prize for the company’s workplace safety program, and a plaque of recognition to be presented at an awards luncheon.

The eligible client companies must have Workers’ Compensation policy with DTRIC with the following loss trends:

• Loss ratio at or below 45% for Workers’ Compensation in the prior two policy years.
• Decreasing trend in loss frequency in the prior two policy years.

Agency partners will nominate their DTRIC client companies who meet the nomination criteria. Client companies who are qualified for the nomination must be able to produce documents that evidence the implementation of workplace safety in four safety categories below:

1. Safety Program
2. Employment Practices
3. Premise and Equipment
4. Management of Workplace Incidents

Nominations deadline is August 31, 2023. Nominations should be sent to:

Winners will be announced on September 15, 2023. An awards luncheon will be held in the month of October 2023.

The panel of judges from DTRIC will include our President and CEO, Chief Underwriting Officer, VP of Commercial Lines, and VP of Claims.
