DTRIC Insurance Property Claims Examiner Achieves Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Designation

Todd Tomita, Property Claims Examiner at DTRIC Insurance, has achieved the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation after completing a series of courses administered by The Institutes.

“We’re very proud of Todd’s accomplishment,” said Mike Mishima, Vice President of Claims for DTRIC Insurance. “The additional knowledge and expertise that Todd brings to DTRIC will be very valuable to us and we’re pleased to have him as part of our team.”

Tomita’s course of study covered a variety of topics, including risk management, insurance operations, business law, finance and accounting, personal and commercial lines, and ethics.

Tomita began his career in the insurance industry as a Claims Assistant at DTRIC in 2011 and has since held other positions, including Subrogation Specialist and Personal Auto Claims Examiner.  He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, has an Associate in Claims (AIC) designation, and is a Notary Public.
